SHC «INDUSTRIAL VIRTUAL REALITY»

Due to the increased danger of commissioning of industrial facilities of the fuel and energy complex, as well as high complexity of construction of these facilities, the most appropriate, due to current trends in technology development, is the use of virtual reality technology (VR) to be used as a tool for visualization and analytical processing of three-dimensional data. The implementation of VR in the business processes of manufacturing enterprises will positively affect the reduction of costs, increase the safety of operation of the facility and will reduce the risk of critical errors by personnel, as well as accelerate these business processes, which helps to increase the enterprise profits.

It is designed for digitization and visualization of three-dimensional data of existing and promising industries, production and process installations.

The main target capabilities for our product are the following areas of application:
Demonstration stands with high detailing and realistic display.
Training complexes for training of operation specialists in servicing units and process units.
Training complexes for working out emergency situations by personnel of an operated industrial facility.
VR-environment for reviewing design decisions in the field of three-dimensional design used in the construction of industrial facilities.
VR environment for facility operation services with the ability to control and prompt access to the reference and information parameters of process equipment in an interactive mode, for operation needs throughout the entire life cycle of the facility.

Effects of the implementation of «IVR» SHC:

  • Reduction of the project development period (according to various estimates, from 15 to 30%).
  • Reduced repair and maintenance costs through development and prototyping.
  • Reduction of the risks of improper operation of the equipment and role of the human factor when working at hazardous facilities.
  • Reduced design errors.
  • Simulators for operators of continuous technological processes with virtual reality function.

The main restraints to the spread of VR-technologies in Russian industry:

  • The main task of enterprises is a return to profitability and primary informational support, therefore only the most advanced Russian companies, or those privately owned, are ready to experiment with VR.
  • An insufficient level of understanding by customers of all the advantages of virtual reality technologies slows down their penetration in the industrial production.
  • Simulators: immaturity of the market and reluctance of enterprises to abandon traditional and less effective training methods.
  • The cost of production of content and creating a project is quite high.
